The writing team of Kasandra
Elaine met when they were fifteen years old and Elaine's father moved his family to Kassy's community to become the
minister at the Methodist church across the street from Kassy's house.
After graduating from high school together,
the team members took different paths. Both attended junior colleges in separate towns. Elaine met and then married the man
who would become the father of her two daughters-Elisa and Melanie. She later returned to college and completed the courses
she needed to become a registered nurse.
Meanwhile, Kassy completed college and became a teacher. She
taught elementary school for twenty years.
Although they never actually lost contact with one another, God brought
their lives more closely back together twelve years after high school when Elaine's family moved back to Kassy's
community.
Kassy and Elaine began their writing efforts as a team by writing a Christmas play for their church
during their senior year in high school. They resumed their writing partnership in 1997.

The rest of the year, Kassy
devotes her time to writing,
Elaine's interests include writing,
traveling and quilting. She also
traveling and doting on her three
loves to spend time with her
adorable grandchildren and their
nieces, nephews, sisters and
parents-Melanie and Mike.
